PIZZA DOUGH

If you have never made pizza dough, you might think that it is difficult. But the truth is, it is easy to make. RECIPE: ( Enough dough to make one large 16" or 18" round, or 1/2 sheet, or 2 to 3 small individual pizzas) * 3 cups all purpose flour or bread flour(both work fine) * 2 t dry active yeast * 1/4 t salt * 1T olive oil * 1 cup water around 100° This can be made by hand or by machine. 1. Put flour, salt and yeast in mixing bowl and mix 2. With motor running on machine recommended dough speed, with dough hook, add 1/2 of the water let mix 30 seconds and add oil and the rest of the water 3. Let run for 8 minutes. dough should be kind of in a ball and sides of the bowl bill be fairly clean. 4. Remove dough and form into a round ball, coat it all the way around with a little olive oil. 5. Put dough in bowl and cover with a dry towel for 1 hour 6. Dough is ready to use and shoud stretch easily If you are making it by hand; 1. Pour yourself a glass of wine 2. Put flour, salt and yeast in mixing bowl and mix 3. Put all dry ingredients in bowl and mix. Add water and oil and mix either by hand or with spoon or spatula untul it becomes a little drier. 4. once ththe dough comes together a little, knead for 8 minutes using the heel of your hand. The dough should feel soft. 5. Remove dough and form into a round ball, coat it all the way around with a little olive oil.5. Put dough in bowl and cover with a dry towel for 1 hour 6. Dough is ready to use and shoud stretch easily NOTES: *After you do this a couple of times, it will become easy and second nature to you. * Cost is under $1.00 vs. $4.00 or more for store bought dough. *
